QUIRKS

When mentioning equipment, Anaguma will use a verb as if it were a noun to describe it. For example; His daggers are not called daggers, they are his stabbers.

When heavily intoxicated and Tempest Fey is present, he will start putting "the moves" on her as if they've never met before.

He will sometimes devise an overly-complicated and idiotic plan that is doomed to fail, in order to perform a simple task.

His methods are very mundane. For example, rather than utilising a manufactured drug to subdue a target, he'd force them to drink vast quantities of alcohol instead.

Due to his less than legal adolescence growing up in the Lower Decks of Limsa Lominsa, Anaguma prefers a toe-to-toe approach to combat as opposed to the ambushing tactics of other shinobi. His chosen arms are his Red Misericordes, a set of knives with larger, curved blades with longer reach and allow the wielder to parry medium-sized weapons. Additionally he favours the use of acrobatics to apply the necessary momentum to his strikes, and to flow smoothly into the next action. Whilst never officially recognised by any shinobi organisation, he carries the rank of jonin due to his mastery of three mudra. With his similar age and experience he may even stand in a similar vein to that of Yugiri Mistwalker, though it's highly unlikely to ever be confirmed.

1552: The Annexure of Doma.

Castrum Fluminis still stands today.

Since 1528 the Garlean warmachine had swept across the eastern continent, twenty-four years of subjugation to most, and utter obliteration to defiant. It was now that the Empire stood at the crux of total conquest in Othard, their final target now lay before them across the One River. A vanguard force was despatched and tasked with annexing the Yanxian hamlets along its river bank, to allow for the safe and hasty construction of Castrum Fluminis, the Empire's spearhead through the Dairyu Moon Gates and into Doma proper. This vanguard battalion, led by young Centurio Atticus quo Ferrum, advanced through the region with ruthless efficiency. With his command, those who would not work on the Castrum's construction were put to the sword, to be put simply. However Atticus would gradually become drunk on his own power and breach military conduct, on numerous occasions giving in to his base desires and take female prisoners against their will. One such victim, a fisherwoman named Hairi Kenesa, found herself an unfortunate casualty of Atticus' heinous actions.

It was during this time that the people of Doma acted, they could not sit idly by as foundations were laid for their eventual demise. So in the dead of night, dozens of shinobi from a multitude of clans lay ambush to the unsuspecting Imperial forces. In an effort to free their countrymen and halt the Fluminis project, they did not hesitate to offer their lives. Whilst the shinobi possessed the martial prowess their conscripted opposition did not, they were no match for the Empire's superior numbers and technology. The battle's conclusion revealed the casualties suffered by both sides were catastrophic, Atticus learned firsthand that his lapse in ethic caused the embarrassment of a pyrrhic victory, his first ever. For the next twenty-five years, Atticus would not forget his exchange with one particular shinobi during the fighting, the man with the red eyes.

Morale suffered greatly once news of defeat spread to Doma. While it was only a matter of time before the enemy would be at the gates, dozens of Doma's most respected warriors and teachers had all perished, and for naught. That was the true defeat.

But unbeknownst to both sides, and hidden deep within the misty peaks of Yanxia, Doma had secured a minor victory. Soujirou Endo, the man with the red eyes had survived, successfully extracting ten prisoners of war, including a very pregnant Hairi Kenesa. Despite the prisoners protestations Soujirou would not escort them to the capital, for it was futile that Doma would be soon lost to the invaders. To a hidden copse known only to few would he take them, along the One River and to the open ocean. A life free of terror and oppression lay west.

1553: The City of Pirates

As if by some miracle did the small band of refugees avoid capture as the One River led them to the Ruby Sea, and onward to the open ocean. While the impoverished passengers felt incredibly blessed for their good fortune, they remained on the brink of starvation for the much of the journey west. It was soon discovered that their shinobi saviour, Soujirou, possessed a soul crystal that he revealed was known as 'Otonabe's Soul.' This soul of Otonabe promptly became an idol of worship, the refugees desperately beseeching the Kami within for their continued deliverance. The shinobi reasoned it best to build upon these beliefs rather than stymie them, and as the wielder of Otonabe, encouraged the Domans earn the Kami's favour rather than simply pray for it. Soujirou was successful as over the passing moons did the Domans collectively become adept as sailors and navigators, earning their right to survive this arduous journey.

It was during this time Hairi's pregnancy became increasingly evident. Ashamed and fearful of retribution for what had transpired, the woman would lie about her child's parentage, unfortunately slowly arousing a quiet suspicion. One man was empathetic to her plight, a kind man named Tanzan who himself caring for his infant nephew, Kazuma. In preparation for her own child would Hairi learn by caring for Kazuma.

Nine full moons since leaving Othard would the refugee vessel reach the coast of Vylbrand, bound for the coastal city of Limsa Lominsa. Hairi, now heavily pregnant, began to go into labour in the straits of the Rhotano Sea. The vessel was easily spotted by pirates whom were quickly able to board, ready to slaughter the crew and plunder their hold. But they did not find a crew nor plunder aboard, Their prize was a single man in an exotic garb fiercely defending a huddled group of people, one of whom was clutching her stomach in birthing pains. The pirates took pity on the refugees and towed the small vessel into Galadion Bay, their crew's chirurgeon attending to pregnant woman.

A child was born late into the night, a boy with bright blonde hair and eyes like ice. All who gazed upon the child knew that the boy's true father was that Imperial demon, Atticus Ferrum, there was no doubt. The vessel docked in Limsa Lominsa's Lower Decks and Hairi disembarked, with no knowledge of this foreign city and wracked with guilt did she abandon her son and the people she came to call her family. Talks took place on what to do with the bastard child and all were in agreement it be put down, though none had the heart to perform the deed. And so it was decided the boy would be raised alongside Kazuma. He was given his mother's surname, Kenesa, so he may one day find her. As for his first name, Doman tradition demanded a child be named after an ancestor, Soujirou named him Anaguma.

File:Tempy.jpg An unlikely spouse for a person of Anaguma's breed, and someone he so vehemently despised for a time. "Tessa" is the woman he can't live without, and the mother of his daughter. Though the nature of their personalities can spiral their relationship out of control at times, everything Anaguma does, he does so for Tempest.

The nature of her birth hints she may be gifted, though Anaguma's priority is to raise her the way he never was. Something he was denied but longed for in his childhood.

Tempest Fey dispatched Anaguma and her ward, Ephiny Zora, to confront the necromancer and eliminate him. The pair succeeded, however Ephiny and several dozen women tragically perished. Below you will find a general list of things that I will and won't do within the context of roleplay. If there's anything not on this list that you're unsure of, please ask. I am very lore and grammar strict so if you cannot adhere to both of these things, then unfortunately I may be inclined to conclude the scenario. That said, genuine errors are acceptable and I am happy to assist with course corrections.

■ I will play . . . Mature and/or dark content and themes (violence, sexuality, drug / alcohol use). Occasional erotic themes but only for the purpose of developing characters and interactions / relationships. Coarse and explicit language. Injury and incapacitation.

■ Ask before . . . Long-term and/or permanent injury and disfigurement. Captivity or imprisonment, either long or short term.

■ I won't play . . . Permanent character death. Non-continuity / oneshot ERP with little to no merit for character development. Mature and/or dark content involving minors.

All of this said, if an aspect of RP or certain themes make you uncomfortable, please let me know. Likewise, if something that happens in the midst of a scene makes you uncomfortable, please tell me immediately.

Important Notes for Prospective Long-term RP Partners

If you'd like to set up a more established, long-term RP partnership with me, I may be willing.Take note of the following things first.

■ I follow the GMT+10:00 timezone I live in Australia so my peak playtime is some Twelve-forsaken hour when converted to the US timezones.

■ There may be multiple people that I roleplay with. If you are easily made jealous OOCly by the prospect of me RPing with someone else or having to politely decline your offer for RP sometimes because I have promised someone else RP, then I'm sorry but this won't work.

■ I may be roleplaying with someone you personally dislike. Feel free to mention it to me so that I can avoid putting you two in a situation where you have to interact. But I don't want to know all of the drama with this person. And absolutely do not try to police who I choose to RP with.

A vanguard force was despatched and tasked with annexing the Yanxian hamlets along its river bank, to allow for the safe and hasty construction of Castrum Fluminis, the Empire's spearhead through the Dairyu Moon Gates and into Doma proper. This vanguard battalion, led by young Centurio Atticus quo Ferrum, advanced through the region with ruthless efficiency. With his command, those who would not work on the Castrum's construction were put to the sword, to be put simply. However Atticus would gradually become drunk on his own power and breach military conduct, on numerous occasions giving in to his base desires and take female prisoners against their will. One such victim, a fisherwoman named Hairi Kenesa, found herself an unfortunate casualty of Atticus' heinous actions.

For the next twenty-five years, Atticus would not forget his exchange with one particular shinobi during the fighting, the man with the red eyes.

It was soon discovered that their shinobi saviour, Soujirou, possessed a soul crystal that he revealed was known as 'Otonabe's Soul.' This soul of Otonabe promptly became an idol of worship, the refugees desperately beseeching the Kami within for their continued deliverance. The shinobi reasoned it best to build upon these beliefs rather than stymie them, and as the wielder of Otonabe, encouraged the Domans earn the Kami's favour rather than simply pray for it. Soujirou was successful as over the passing moons did the Domans collectively become adept as sailors and navigators, earning their right to survive this arduous journey.
