SUUUPER WIP (seriously) BLEP Skills Forgery - An impressive talent of Oli’s that he’s honed over his lifetime is the ability to reproduce other people’s works. Thanks to years of practice, he has a wide range of magical and non-magical objects he’s able to copy to an uncanny degree. None of them are perfect, but it would take a keen eye to see through his many counterfeits. Charisma - When Oli isn’t being his usual prickly self, many might find him to be rather charming. He’s no stranger to flattery and getting on someone’s good side when it benefits him. His leadership skills are also respectable enough to keep his hired help content. Adaptable - Not every plan works. Oli knows this, and is level-headed enough to switch his approach on the fly. Quick thinking is especially valuable in his line of work. Agility - The single physical attribute the rogue has going for him. His nimbleness has saved his hide and gotten him out of many a sticky situation. Weaknesses Direct Combat - Given the choice between fight or flight, he’ll run for the hills the moment a fight is not going in his favor. It’s a fairly common occurrence. Offensive Magic - Although Oli’s been attempting to improve on this front, he’s not able to cast any sort of spell while under pressure. Whether it’s due to lack of practice or skill has yet to be seen. Healing - Treating a wound with anything more than a bandage will leave him in a state of confusion. Though he can be walked through simple, non-magical healing tasks it’s not recommended for the patient’s safety. Physical Strength - It’s no secret this particular con man lacks in the might department. There’s a reason he pays well for intimidating grunts to do the muscle work. Likes Cleverness - There are few things that he appreciates more than a sharp mind. The rogue enjoys engaging in conversation with others he deems has a keen enough intellect. Oftentimes he’ll quickly lose interest in someone if they don’t meet his standards. Loyalty - Oli finds true loyalty to be a rare trait. If he ever comes across someone that displays this, he’ll do everything he can to be loyal in return. As cold as the Keeper comes off he’s willing to take a blow for those he’s fond of. Steadfast - On the rare occasion that his full loyalty is earned, the rogue is surprisingly dependable. Oli refuses to deceive or cheat those he genuinely respects. Flaws Paranoid - As a consequence of his line of work, the conman will often get overly anxious even when there is no reason to. Often he’ll assume that most people have a hidden agendas like he has. Any hint, true or not, that someone might backstab him will instantly put him on edge. Two-faced - One minute Oli will be friendly as can be, the next he’ll cynical and cold. He picks whatever personality that he thinks will get him what he wants. It’s a poor habit of his that will occasionally leak into even his amicable relations. Shameless - Everyone has a price, including him. There is very little the conman won’t do for a good enough payout. He’ll also go to great lengths to avoid spending a single gil more than he needs to. For such a well-off businessman, he is stingy to a brazen degree. Misu Koi ( ● $ ♥ ) After a questionable first impression, the small and mischievous Misu has brought about her fair share of surprises. Oli appreciates the other Keeper’s bizarre disposition. Riki Kaneuchi ( ● $ ♡ ) Riki has been the longest standing member of his crew, and Oli respects her a great deal. She’s one of the few people he trusts with just about anything when prodded enough. At one point they were more closely involved with each other, but recently they have cut anything resembling romantic ties to focus on business. Misc. The mage is much too reckless for his liking and has caused a countless amount of facepalms. Still, Oli finds J’takra’s antics to be enjoyable on occasion. There are times, however, when he often wonders how much of that bravado is compensating for something. Koh'si Jakkya ( ● ) Text, text, text, text. Oyuu Dataq ( ● ) Unpleasant working arrangements have left Oli with a sour taste in his mouth whenever Oyuu is mentioned. The Xaela forced him into employment at the Order of Ouroboros, using less than polite means, with the threat of death if he didn’t comply. He’ll do business with Oyuu, on his own terms, but not much more than that. Shane Ma'iitsoh ( ● ♦ ) The conman wasn’t certain what to think of the stuttering Keeper initially. Shane was much too sweet and quiet. The healer had to have something up his poncho sleeves. To Oli’s surprise, Shane actually seemed genuine. He’s always up for listening to business propositions as well as taking on hired help. Besides the inn he owns, he also deals with artifacts and appraisal work for a fair fee. ■ Criminal Activities: Much of the work Oli does is illicit. His background lies in theft and fraud of any sort. Additionally, there are a handful of his forges floating about the auction houses and personal collections. I’m also totally up for the jerk getting conned or stolen from himself. He’s not immune to being beaten at his own game. ■ Acquaintances: He doesn’t just interact with shadier folks. Oli often can be found at his inn that’s open to the public, or wandering around in towns. Though his personality can come off as odd to some, he’s open to forming friendships regardless of someone’s background given enough time. ■ Always open to discussion or suggestions! Player Info ■ I prefer in-game RP, but don’t mind finishing up loose ends or having short scenes in Discord. Also don’t mind using Discord with folks who don’t the spare time to sit around in-game as long as we’re on the same server. ■ My writing style is somewhere between medium and heavy. Paragraph replies are a-okay with me. I don’t mind shorter ones either, and will also use them when in large groups or suitable situations. ■ Romance/ERP typically isn’t my jam, especially with people I don’t know very well OOC. I’m never going to guarantee that’d be something I would be interested in pursuing. Occasional IC flirting or teasing is usually fine.
